This particularly pure camellia oil from the brand „Kurobara” (= Black Rose) has been produced in Japan for over 80 years following traditional recipes. It is traditionally used for the preservation of handsaw blades, swords, knives, plane irons, chisels, and much more made of metal. It can also be used as sewing machine oil! This oil is of exceptional purity, acid-free, and safe for food contact.
Additionally, it is tasteless, odorless, and does not dry out, making it especially suitable for kitchen knives.
The oil contains small amounts of liquid paraffin and a yellow dye that helps stabilize the color. It is not a cooking oil, and therefore not suitable for consumption!
