The dry lubricant Silbergleit, when applied with a cloth in a thin layer on the machine table, allows wood to glide easily over the table of the woodworking machine. The glide film is dry, invisible, and abrasion-resistant. At the same time, this glide film forms a water-repellent working surface that protects against rust. Silbergleit can also be successfully used on iron hand planes or workbench spindles. Handsaws run much smoother with Silbergleit, which is especially noticeable with somewhat resinous wood. In principle, Silbergleit can be used anywhere where friction between the tool and the workpiece needs to be reduced. Without graphite and without silicone!
