Diamond paste is used for polishing and lapping materials. Of particular interest to woodworkers is its use in sharpening and honing chisels and plane irons in conjunction with a flat steel plate. The selection of blocky and sharp-edged synthetic diamond grains ensures good removal performance with consistently repeatable results.
This diamond paste consists of monocrystalline diamond grains and is oil-soluble. Note on grain size: 1 μm (micron) is = 1/1000 millimeter (0.001 mm).
