The interchangeable pilot drill allows for precise freehand drilling on all workpieces where the hole is not intended to be perpendicular to the material, such as stair railings. Suitable for softwood, European hardwood, chipboard, MDF.
The pilot drill is held in place with a hexagon socket set screw and can also be replaced with a regular drill bit, giving it the same excellent properties as a traditional Bormax. The shaft is drilled through its entire length, allowing resinous or jammed bits to be pushed out with a supplied pin.
