The interchangeable pilot drill allows for precise freehand drilling on all workpieces where the hole should not be perpendicular to the material, such as with stair railings. Suitable for softwood, European hardwood, chipboard, MDF. The pilot drill is held in place with a hexagon socket set screw and can also be replaced with a standard drill tip, thus providing the same excellent properties as a traditional Bormax. The shaft is drilled through its entire length, allowing resinous or jammed tips to be pushed out with a supplied pin.
