Product information
On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the company NAREX, a new series has been launched, named after the founder of NAREX, Vaclav Richter. These chisels truly honor this jubilee.
The blade, made of chrome-vanadium steel, is traditionally forged, hardened, cryogenically treated, and tempered to achieve a minimum hardness of 62 HRC. The subsequent fine grinding and polishing create a high-quality glossy surface. The side bevels run almost entirely to the back side, making it easy to reach tight working areas. The back side is very well flat-ground, requiring only minimal effort to achieve a perfectly flat back. The bevel is ground to 24°, making it more suitable for fine work and softwood. If a blunter angle is required, such as for hardwood or when the chisel is struck heavily with a hammer, this can be achieved with minimal effort by grinding a secondary bevel.
The handle is made from European ash, a wood species ideally suited for this purpose due to its hardness, toughness, and beautiful grain. The handle is ergonomically shaped and finely sanded. A stainless steel ferrule prevents the handle from splitting, and a leather washer dampens the hammer blows. The largest diameter of the handle measures between 31 to 32 mm for all sizes.
