Product information
These storage boxes are the same polypropylene boxes that are supplied with every Veritas plane and plane iron. The boxes are one-piece, so no parts can be lost. They consist of two shells that are firmly connected with a hinge and are closed using two side latches. This makes them easy to handle and secure when closed. The protrusions in the boxes match exactly with the holes in the plane iron. They hold the iron in place and ensure that the cutting edge does not come into contact with the walls of the box.
Each box features a hole for hanging. Additionally, the boxes are designed to interlock, allowing multiple boxes to be stacked for storage on a shelf or in a drawer. Included in the delivery are two stickers that you can use to label the box clearly. Also included is a piece of corrosion protection cardboard (which contains a volatile substance that forms a fine protective layer on the iron) to ensure that no rust forms on the iron during storage. The pictured plane iron is not included in the delivery.
