Round bench hooks from VERITAS

These round bench hooks, available in two lengths, are inserted into holes with a diameter of 19 mm (3/4"). The advantage of round bench hooks is undeniable. Round holes for bench hooks are simply faster to drill than the usual square ones. Non-right-angled workpieces can be easily clamped. Sturdy springs secure the bench hooks at the desired height.

Where sufficient wood mass is available, you should use the long bench hooks, as they can withstand greater force. For the front edges of tables and workbenches, or when drawers need to remain freely movable under a board, the short bench hooks are recommended.

The same variants of the clamping elements are also available with variable extension, which further increases the application possibilities. The extension is infinitely adjustable. The desired height is set with a knurled screw.

If you have a drawer under your workbench or tabletop, the short bench hooks are not in the way.

At the front of a workbench, the short bench dogs replace the conventional side bench dogs. Do not make the holes deeper than 45 mm so that the bench dogs can be easily pulled out again.

With such a template, you ensure that the holes in the workbench or your work table are drilled at a 90° angle, whether at the front edge or on the surface. Both the distance to the edge and the uniform spacing of the holes from each other are guaranteed. The distance you choose is up to you. It is best to drill the holes in this template with a drill, clamped in a drill stand.

The cut surfaces for holding the workpieces are inclined inwards by a few degrees to prevent the workpieces from jumping out during clamping. The pressing surfaces have a length of 18 mm.

In conjunction with the front vice, one or two rows of holes help to create additional clamping options on the workbench.
