Cutting boards for the kitchen by HASEGAWA
These high-quality cutting boards from the Japanese manufacturer HASEGAWA are designed for use in the kitchen. The manufacturer previously produced materials for skis and has specialized in the combination of a wooden core with a plastic coating.
What makes the cutting boards so special?

Weight

Stiffness
The boards are about 30% lighter than comparably sized plastic cutting boards. This makes handling easier (e.g. when washing by hand) and reduces the risk of accidental dropping.

Gentle on the blade edge
The wooden core prevents warping or bending of the board over a long period, even when washed at higher temperatures. The boards remain stable, are dishwasher safe, and stay straight, even when used with the separately available feet.

Resource-saving
The plastic surface ensures that even delicate and very sharply honed edges remain sharp for as long as possible and do not become dull due to the surface of the board. This is the case with wooden boards. Simple, soft cutting boards, on the other hand, tend to warp quickly, become crooked, and buckle. The HASEGAWA cutting boards have enormous stiffness due to the wooden core and still protect the edges with the plastic cutting surfaces.
