ARDVOS wood oil by Livos
Application:
- Application area: Deciduous and coniferous woods, cork, OSB indoors. For furniture and floors. Not suitable for cabinet interiors, plywood, multiplex, and veneers.
- Properties: Transparent, satin-gloss, water-repellent, open-pored. Revitalizes the natural wood grain. After 2 to 3 applications, a light surface film forms. Saliva and sweat resistant according to DIN 53160.
- Substrate preparation: The substrate must be absorbent, firm, clean, dry, and free of dust and resin. Test application recommended!
- Processing: Brush out pore grooves on coarse-pored wood. Fine sanding with 150 - 240 grit. Depending on absorbency and later use, apply 1 - 3 generous coats with a brush or roller, carefully remove excess oil after 20 - 30 minutes.
- Drying time: First coat 12 - 24 hours, subsequent coats 16 - 24 hours.
- Consumption according to manufacturer’s specifications: 0.75 l undiluted is sufficient for approx. 10 m2. Exact values can only be determined by testing on the object.
- Composition: Linseed oil, linseed oil stand oil natural resin ester, linseed oil wood oil stand oil, natural resin ester, orange peel oil, isoaliphates, micro wax, silica, lead-free drying agents.
- Storage: Cool, dry. Unopened, at least two years shelf life. Once opened, close containers well. Transferring to smaller containers is recommended.
- Disposal: According to local regulatory requirements. Dried product residues can be disposed of as normal household waste.
- Additional notes: Stir well and perform a test application. Saturate wood with ARDVOS, as otherwise only limited water resistance. Cabinet interiors may smell unpleasant after ARDVOS treatment. Please note the instructions at the end of this page. Subsequent maintenance treatments with BIVOS oil-wax should be carried out, but only in splash-proof areas - i.e., normal living areas. In splash areas, it is better to repeat the treatment with ARDVOS regularly as needed.
- Safety instructions: Rags, sponges, sanding dust, etc. soaked with ARDVOS wood oil should be stored airtight in a metal container or in water if not completely dry, as there is a risk of self-ignition due to the linseed oil content. The product itself is not self-igniting.
