Heavy carpenter’s vises have become indispensable in many workshops. In many cases, they replace the traditional workbench. The advantage lies in their high flexibility: You can attach the vise to any spot on a workbench where you really need it, unlike a fixed workbench.
Additionally, these vises are equipped with an extendable bench dog, allowing you to clamp workpieces directly on the surface of the workbench. As a complement, we recommend the round bench dogs from Veritas. A few drill holes in the workbench are sufficient to get started.
