The steel of these chisels is laminated, meaning that hard steel and soft iron are forged together. The blades of the chisels from the KAWASEI smithy are made of laminated Aogami steel (Blue Steel), which provides excellent durability. The handle is made of beech wood and fits very comfortably in the hand. These chisels should not be used for striking, levering, or drilling. They are also suitable for beginners, as the chisels are very robust. You can find a set of 5 pieces here! Total length: 170 mm, blade length: 40 mm. Note: the measurements provided are the manufacturer’s nominal dimensions. As these chisels are individually crafted, dimensions may vary, especially with the rounded chisels, whose width is measured internally.
