It’s somewhat puzzling that despite modern alternatives, the scraper plane is still popular. However, all scraper planes share a common weakness: it’s very difficult to adjust the blade cleanly. Veritas developed this scraper plane with depth adjustment. This finally allows the blade to be adjusted easily and effectively without the help of additional tools.
This kit includes a 3 mm thick blade made of A2 steel, with an overall length of 100 mm, a cutting length of 70 mm, a width of 18 mm, and all necessary screws. The kit does not come with wood, allowing you to choose it yourself and perhaps draw from your collection. The wooden blank should have a size of at least 280 × 36 × 22 mm. Some experience in woodworking is recommended to manage this.
Instructions only in English, but much is self-explanatory through the pictures!
And if you can convert the inches in the instructions to mm, nothing should really go wrong.
