This beech wood block with holes for the installation of the aforementioned small front vise makes building a workbench even easier. The holes are arranged such that a standard 40 mm thick plate aligns flush with the top edge of the wooden jaw. Since the holes are a few millimeters larger than the diameter of the thread and guide rods, the height can be precisely adjusted even with a 3 mm surplus or deficit of the plate.
