The die stocks (external thread cutting tool) are equipped with 2 blades from 38 mm and with two handles from 32 mm. The dovetail cutter must only be resharpened from the inside, and the same applies to the blades of the internal thread cutting tool.
Use suitable woods whenever possible, i.e., those with a fine-pored and dense structure.
Examples of suitable woods: beech, cherry, pear.
Examples of unsuitable woods: pine, oak.
If the wood is soaked in oil for two days before threading, it becomes more pliable, and the risk of breaking the raised thread flanks during cutting is reduced.
