This version of the variable fence fits all versions (right- and left-handed, straight or skewed iron) of the Veritas plow and rabbet plane. The fence is easily attached to the two rods of the plane’s standard fence using brass clamping sleeves.
The fence allows you to plane any angle between 45° and 135° precisely and evenly. You can set the angle using a bevel gauge or directly take it from a matching workpiece.
The spring-loaded lever that clamps the fence can be twisted as needed so that it doesn’t get in the way.
Through-holes in the 279 mm (11 inch) long aluminum fence allow you to extend the fence with a piece of wood or attach a wedge-shaped piece of wood to plane angles smaller than 45°.
