This fence for your plane doesn’t limit you to right angles but allows you to plane evenly and precisely at any angle between 45° and 135°. The spring-loaded lever that fixes the fence can be swung out of the way if it gets in the way while planing. With the included stainless steel knurled screws, you can attach the anodized aluminum fence to either side of the plane (for right and left-handers). When not using the fence, you can store the two knurled screws in the two threaded holes of the fence. The through-holes in the fence can be used to attach homemade auxiliary fences made of wood.
