A combination square is a versatile measuring and scribing tool primarily used in woodworking and metalworking. It consists of a ruler with millimeter and/or inch graduations and a movable head that displays both 90° and 45° angles. Often, it also includes a small spirit level, as well as a scribing needle. The combination square is excellent for checking and marking right and angled corners, transferring measurements, measuring depths, and parallel scribing of lines. With optional accessories such as a centering head, it can also be used to find the centers of round materials. Thus, the combination square combines multiple functions in a single tool and is particularly practical for precise work in the workshop, on construction sites, or for hobby projects.
