Japanese Tree Saws/Pruning Saws

Tree saws or pruning saws from Japan are indispensable companions in the garden, for forestry work, on construction sites, and last but not least, during travel. There is one for every purpose!

Important: For wet and fresh wood outdoors, always use a saw with coarse teeth. In a saw with fine teeth, the wet sawdust gets stuck and the saw clogs. For dry wood, use a saw with fine teeth. You can still cut dry softwood reasonably well with a coarse saw, but for dry hardwood or even bamboo, a saw with fine teeth is definitely recommended.

To safely prune branches beyond arm’s reach, pole saws are indispensable. With them, you can cut more distant branches without needing to use a ladder. Our pole saws are from the Japanese manufacturer Nishigaki. They are equipped with telescopic aluminum poles, which achieve a great reach while still being compact for transportation.
