This versatile measuring tool allows for the determination and transfer of interior dimensions both horizontally and vertically and, unlike tape measures or a combination of multiple folding rulers, can be freely positioned in space without additional support. The scales of the two extendable rails, which are easily readable even in unfavorable lighting conditions, allow for precise measurement, helping to avoid calculation errors associated with traditional methods.
The handling is simple and self-explanatory, as described below for a horizontal measurement:
After loosening the red locking screw on the right, the rail is extended to the left and can be fixed in this position using the screw. The reading is taken at the end of the main body on the left. If the measurement range of the rail fully extended in the first step is not sufficient, the measuring rod is rotated 180° and the second rail is loosened and positioned using the yellow-orange locking screw. Again, the reading is taken at the end of the main body.
To protect sensitive surfaces in interior construction, the rails have plastic caps at their ends. Furthermore, this robust yet lightweight tool proves beneficial for measuring clear dimensions on the construction site (windows, doors, stairs,...), in the workshop, and for plumbing and masonry work.
