JessEm is once again stepping off the beaten path with its measuring tools and entering new functional territory with its Sword Precision T-Square.
Made from hardened 301 stainless steel, the blades of these squares feature double-sided etched and laser-engraved markings that offer true durability, even with daily use. This ensures that readability is virtually guaranteed for a lifetime, unlike scales and numbers that are merely printed.
The matte finish provides a non-glare, highly readable surface. Particularly practical for those who often work with templates from the Anglo-American region, the blades feature corresponding inch markings on the opposite side, eliminating the need for error-prone conversions.
The distinctive form of these T-squares is also reflected in their naming. The double-sided scaled blade is supported on both the left and right by the T-shaped stop. A handle is centrally placed in line with the blade. (If it ever becomes a hindrance, it can be unscrewed, leaving only a short nub.) Thus, the combination of ruler (blade), stop (crossguard), and handle creates an analogy to a sword, which, according to the specifications of the Canadian premium manufacturer JessEm, allows many challenges to be met, both in professional settings and by ambitious hobby woodworkers.

The stop, reliably fixed with stainless steel screws, is made of matte black anodized aluminum and subtly chamfered at the edges. The skeletonization improves grip and simultaneously helps reduce weight. A slide button allows two compensation tabs to extend as needed, providing additional support when the square is in use.
The blade features patented flexible tabs (Flex Grip) with a special roughness that offers secure hold on virtually any surface softer than the steel of the ruler, even with surprisingly little pressure. This means no more slipping when marking or scribing! Additionally, notches matching each unit of measurement are present, which can accommodate, for example, the lead of a mechanical pencil, allowing lines to be drawn parallel to the stop edge.
