LIOGIER floats are single-cut rasps with a flat working surface, designed for smoothing difficult areas that are otherwise hard to reach with a plane. Originally, they were crafted for working on wooden plane bodies, but they are also used wherever the surface needs to be precise and not rounded, such as on wooden tenons. These floats can be resharpened with a triangular needle file. Each type is available in push and pull versions. The floats are only cut on one side, meaning the other side is smooth!
