This small router plane from Veritas is the ideal tool for creating grooves and small rabbets, for example, for fitting drawer bottoms or panels in frame constructions.
The 168 mm long fence allows for reliable guidance along the workpiece and is equipped with two holes for attaching an additional wooden fence. This provides better guidance and thus higher accuracy for larger workpieces. The fence has a small recess in the area of the iron, which also makes it possible to create small rabbets. This router plane is a serious quiet alternative for many tasks typically done with a router. The included A2 blade is 1/4 inch wide = 6.35 mm.
