These galvanized steel sliding nuts with a stainless steel spring plate allow you to expand the application range of Incra T-Track rails to include accessories with an 8 mm thread. These sliding nuts are equipped with a spring that pushes the nut upwards in the rail, making it easier to adjust within the track. In some cases, the spring can be disruptive, such as with open mounting holes or slightly protruding mounting screws. In such cases, the sliding nut may get caught on the spring. You can easily remove the spring by gripping it with pliers and twisting it off. For example, the sliding nut shown in the image below has had its spring removed.
