These traditional saws are manufactured by Shirai Sangyo in Sanjo, Japan. They are an affordable version with SK5 steel blades, offering an unusually fine cut for this price! These Dozuki saws have minimal set and are not replaceable blade saws! The stabilizing back is slightly curved, following the natural hand movement when sawing. The shaft of the saw thickens towards the handle to 0.6 mm. The teeth are ground for cuts across the grain. The handle is made of Hinoki wood.
