To avoid a real, sharp edge on the sides, a few tenths of a mm (max. 0.4 mm) of the straight side are left. This serves the safety of the user, as these chisels are meant to cut only at the front and not on the sides.
With this series in standard size and a flattened and oiled round wooden handle, MHG once again shows its innovation. These chisels are ground, not polished.
