With this new series in standard size, but with a flattened and oiled round wooden handle, MHG has made a great achievement. These chisels come with an excellent finish. They are polished, and then the back is ground flat again. This achieves two things: the chisels have no sharp edges when touched, and through the additional process of grinding the back, it remains flat.
The new series is manufactured using a new forging process, which gives the tools high edge retention, elasticity, and durability. With their high structure density and the heat treatment quality of the high-alloy material, performance characteristics are achieved that were previously reserved for hand-forged tools. The hardness measures 61 HRC (+/- 1) over the entire working length.
