Product information
Setting up machines in the workshop can easily become an inaccurate and therefore frustrating endeavor. Tape measures and rulers are difficult to use when measuring the distance between curved cutters and stops. The fact that you often need both hands to adjust the machine, leaving no hand free to hold the measuring instrument, makes the situation even worse. Veritas setup blocks help you solve this problem. Simply place the appropriate block, or the right combination of multiple blocks, between the stop and cutter or saw blade and adjust the machine accordingly.
The nine-piece metric version of the setup blocks consists of three vinyl plastic plates (two of which are 0.5 mm thick, one 1 mm), five aluminum blocks (one each of 2 mm, 4 mm, 8 mm, and two of 16 mm to facilitate setting up 32 mm) and a steel block (25 mm x 50 mm x 75 mm). Some holes in the steel block feature a 3/8 UNC thread.
The vinyl plates and aluminum blocks are manufactured to an accuracy of 0.05 mm and are each 50 mm long. The steel block is precise to 0.018 mm. All parts of the set together allow you to assemble measurements from 0.5 mm to 123 mm in 0.5 mm increments.
The delivery comes in a sturdy plastic case with divided compartments, which protects the setup blocks from damage.
