With this mounting set, toggle clamps can be used on Aweso T-slot rails in a simple and cost-effective manner.
- 1 x M8 sliding nut (oval or rectangular)
- 1 x M8 × 10 mm cylinder screw
- 1 x M8 × 20 mm cylinder screw
The newer models of Bessey toggle clamps have a hole in the center, designed for mounting on multifunction tables. The same mounting option can also be used for Aweso T-slot rails. For this, you need an oval and slightly wider sliding nut and a 10 mm long cylinder screw.
The 20 mm long cylinder screw is needed when a 10 mm thick board is to be mounted in between.
Tip: The holes at the base of the Aweso T-slot rails have been countersunk at a distance of 200 mm. Therefore, countersunk screws with a diameter of 3.5 mm are recommended. With this diameter, the screw heads are perfectly countersunk, and the relatively thick oval sliding nut does not hit anywhere. The distance from countersink hole to countersink hole of 200 mm is somewhat large, and often these holes are not at the end of the rail. Therefore, the rail can lift under tension. Thus, additional countersink holes should be placed between the countersink holes and near the ends. These countersinks must have very small heads as the clear width at the top part of the Aweso T-slot rail is only 8.2 mm. Suitable for this is the cone and deburring countersink from Löher with a diameter of 7 mm.
