Product information
Here you will find the suitable saw blades for your saw. Whether you want to build a small dovetail saw or a backsaw, or simply replace an old saw blade.
All saw blades are made of spring steel (US material number 1095) and hardened to HRC 48-51. The teeth are punched and not sharpened. Rip cut teeth have a 5° positive rake, crosscut teeth have a 15° positive rake. These angles are sufficient in most cases but can be adjusted by the user to meet individual needs.
For handle mounting, the rear corner of the saw blade should be cut at an angle and deburred (Note: this corner is usually already cut off upon delivery). For this, you can use an angle grinder, a metal saw, tin snips, a belt sander, or even a file if necessary. The fear of drilling the handle holes quickly disappears if you have a good metal drill bit and a drill press. The bluing has been removed; the saw blades are unground and unpolished. Due to the manufacturing process, small scratches on the surface are to be expected. These can be removed with dry or wet sanding using sandpaper, and the surface can be polished as desired. Minor straightening of the saw blade may be necessary after assembly.
