This expansion set is excellent for increasing the versatility of the small Veritas router plane. It allows the small router plane to be used with both side-cutting blades and wide cutting blades (wider than 9.5 mm or 3/8 inch). The expansion set is designed to hold the blade from both sides. It consists of a 125 mm (5 inch) long sled, which is milled from ductile iron, a brass clamping screw, and an adjustment screw (this is used to ensure that the sled is exactly parallel to the fence). This expansion set can be easily attached and detached from the guide rods. It is available in versions for both the left-handed and right-handed small router plane.
