INCRA replacement scales are what you need when you need to swap metric scales for inch scales or vice versa. The white coating is interrupted on the extension tapes at the 16 and 32-inch or 41 and 81 cm marks to provide a clear view of the extension point when used on longer tracks and to ensure that the tapes are accurately aligned at the correct spot.
