A precision straight edge is very useful for, for example, adjusting the machine tables of jointers and checking the flatness of a plane sole. These solid steel straight edges are of high accuracy. Both edges are precision ground with an accuracy of 0.025 mm over the entire length. It is available in three lengths. The high weight of these steel straight edges has the advantage that they remain standing on the edge while making adjustments. The steel is vacuum-hardened to ensure that the stresses typical in steel, which can cause bending, are minimized. Not stainless!
