Product information
This Shaker workbench was developed in collaboration with furniture and plane maker Ron Brese. The Benchcrafted plans are based on historical models such as the famous Hancock workbench and the Mt. Lebanon workbench. The workbench features classic clamping devices: a leg vise and tail vise in Benchcrafted versions, as well as a sliding deadman. The workbench functions better than its historical counterparts while retaining their classic appearance and typical functional Shaker aesthetics.
BENCHCRAFTED developed these plans to provide woodworkers with the opportunity to build a workbench with Benchcrafted’s leg vise and wagon vise without having to worry about all the constructive details. Simply follow the plans and instructions.
The plan set consists of six printed pages in the size of 508 mm x 762 mm (20 inch x 30 inch). The workbench is depicted in a variety of views, detailed drawings, and exploded views. The plans are comprehensive and precise. They are printed on heavy paper and bordered on the edges. They are not folded but rolled and shipped in a tube.
