Paring Chisel ¾“ 19,05 mm
NAREX

Product information

These chisels, primarily known and still used in the Anglo-American region, are mainly employed for delicate adjustments in wood joints where the finest corrections are needed. Due to this reason, the widths follow inch-based measurements. The unusually long length of the blade is beneficial for the careful removal of thin shavings, allowing for maximum control of the tool, which is guided purely by hand.

Corresponding to the blade width and the resulting weight, different sized handles are installed. They are made from white beech wood, stained reddish-brown, and waxed, and are equipped with a contrasting brass ferrule. The semi-spherical end of the handle fits comfortably in the palm. This is particularly important since these chisels are not struck with a mallet.

The impressive blades are made from NAREX’s proven high-alloy chrome-manganese steel, hardened to 59 HRC. Deeply drawn side bevels enable better accessibility in otherwise hard-to-reach areas. The flat bevel angle, which is clearly oriented towards the application, is also noteworthy.
