It has nothing to do with paper; the manufacturer simply wanted to express that this abrasive grinding plate made of stainless steel is as thin as a piece of paper. This small grinding plate is finer than the standard NT dressers further up on this page. The Japanese manufacturer states the grit size as approximately 400 – 600 according to Japanese standards and labels it as „fine.” This corresponds to about grit 400 according to European standards. However, since the material is not actually grit but consists of a metal plate, the specifications are only approximate. A piece of double-sided tape is included so that the paper dresser can be adhered to any suitable material to be used as a sanding block. Additionally, it can be cut into strips with ordinary scissors, allowing you to create small sanding files in any desired shape for your personal needs.
