This grinding system consists of a plastic handle and replaceable abrasive metal plates. These grinding files are extremely convenient to use. The grinding surface of the metal plates has a long service life, and the grinding performance is tremendous. The Japanese manufacturer specifies the grit size as approximately 280 – 400 according to Japanese standards and refers to it as „medium.” This corresponds to about 240 grit according to European standards. However, since the material is not grain but consists of a metal plate, the specifications are only approximate.
These grinding files are very versatile in application. For instance, they are suitable for removing burrs on plastics just as well as for fine finishing of wood surfaces. The round shapes are particularly suitable for fine finishing of recesses in wood and plastic.
This cylindrically rounded shape is very well suited for grinding recesses and for reworking profiles.
