This sanding system consists of a plastic handle and replaceable abrasive metal plates. These sanding files are extremely convenient to handle. The sanding surface of the metal plates has a long service life, and the grinding performance is enormous. According to the Japanese manufacturer, the grit size is specified as approximately 280 – 400 according to Japanese standards and is described as „medium”. This corresponds to about grit 240 according to European standards. However, since the material is not a grain but consists of a metal plate, the specifications are only approximate.
These sanding files are very versatile in application. For example, they are suitable for removing burrs from plastics as well as for the fine processing of wood surfaces. The round shapes are especially suitable for the fine processing of recesses in wood and plastic.
This shape is very well-suited for removing burrs from plastic parts and for cleaning the bottoms of various wood joints like dovetails and lap joints.
