This sanding system consists of a plastic handle and abrasive metal plates that can be replaced. These sanding files are extremely convenient to use. The abrasive surface of the metal plates has a long service life, and the sanding performance is tremendous. The Japanese manufacturer specifies the grit size as approximately 280 – 400 according to Japanese standards and describes it as „medium.” This corresponds to about grit 240 according to European standards. However, since the material is not a grit but consists of a metal plate, the specifications should be considered approximate.
These sanding files are very versatile in application. For example, they are suitable for removing burrs from plastics as well as for the fine finishing of wood surfaces. The rounded shapes are especially suitable for the fine finishing of recesses in wood and plastic.
This wide form is, for example, very well suited for sanding wood surfaces and also for large plastic areas.
