Grit size approximately 500, but it grinds similar to a Japanese stone with 800 grit. This stone is excellent for sharpening kitchen knives and other knives. For fine honing, we recommend the pink Missarka stone. By avoiding binding agents, this stone clogs significantly less than conventional sharpening stones and is therefore particularly suitable for stainless knives.
