Miniature Router Plane Blade 1/8 inch (3.2 mm)
VERITAS

Available, delivery time: 2-3 days
Product information
Just like the other Veritas miniature planes, this tiny 76 mm (3 inch) wide router plane not only looks like its larger counterpart, but also functions just as well. This plane is surprisingly easy to hold and control, making it ideal for installing fittings, or for delicate inlay or marquetry work.
The plane features a 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) wide blade made of A2 steel (hardened to 60 – 62 HRC), which can be used both within and outside the sole. The position outside the sole allows for work into corners. The stainless steel body has been meticulously machined, with the sole being flat ground and lapped. The sole is designed to completely enclose the blade, allowing the plane to rest on a large surface area of the workpiece, bridging recesses and enabling stable guidance even on narrow pieces. The handles are made from Bubinga. The depth adjustment mechanism features a fine-threaded adjustment screw and a knurled nut to secure the blade. The plane weighs only 60 g (2 oz).
The plane is delivered in an attractive gift box, making it an excellent gift for any woodworker.
In image 3, you can see the size comparison between the standard router plane and the miniature router plane.
