Product information
This fully functional version of the low-angle bench plane in a 1:3 scale is the latest miniature plane by Veritas. Measuring 127 mm in length, just under 25 mm in width, and weighing a good 135 g, it is well-sized for fine edge work. The blade, with a bevel angle of 25°, is made from A2 steel, and the bed has an angle of 13°. Using the Norris-style stainless steel adjustment mechanism, you can set the blade precisely.
The plane body is cast from stainless steel using the lost-wax process. The mouth is fixed, the sides are milled, and the sole is ground. The front knob and rear handle are made from walnut. Made in Canada. It comes in a matching faux leather gift box. A lovely gift for woodworkers and collectors.
The plane is delivered in a gift box.
