To achieve a right-angled edge on a board, a jointer fence is necessary, whether planing electrically or by hand.
The Veritas jointer fence makes it possible to create consistently accurate right-angled edges. It fits almost any iron plane from No. 4 (smoothing plane) to No. 8 (large jointer) and for the Veritas low angle planes. Thanks to the built-in strong magnets, the 279 mm long jointer fence made of anodized aluminum can be easily attached both on the right and left sides.
Note: Does not fit the Veritas bevel-up smoothers, as the sides are not consistently ground at right angles! In addition to exact right angles, when a corresponding wedge-shaped wooden guide is mounted, angles smaller than 90° can also be planed. This wooden guide is simply screwed to the inside of the aluminum fence.
