The Galvawood series by MIYANAGA is the heavy-duty version for wood with diameters ranging from 25 to 220 mm for a drilling depth of up to 130 mm in a single operation. In this quick-change system, the shaft release is lifted, the shaft is pressed onto the hole saw and turned, and the quick-release locks in place. The system is simple yet versatile: choose your desired hole saw size, preferred shaft, and pilot drill, and your hole saw is complete.
The seamless saw body is made from material only 1.2 mm thick. Combined with the 3.5 mm wide carbide teeth, this allows for jam-free drilling with good chip removal, as there is a 1.5 mm space all around between the hole saw body (D = 57 mm) and the drilled hole (D = 60 mm). The unique 2-step teeth further enhance the original drilling performance. Side slots are not required due to this design. Depending on the type and moisture of the wood, it may occasionally be necessary to „vent,” meaning the drill may need to be briefly retracted to improve chip removal.
Maximum drilling depth of 130 mm in one pass in wood, plywood, chipboard, MDF, polyvinyl pipes, and fiberglass-reinforced plastics. Suitable for drills in rotation mode, disable hammer function! Sheet metal covers can be drilled through, as well as tile coverings, and large nails in the material pose no problem. Additionally suitable for aluminum. For metal, it is advisable to pre-drill and use the guide pin.
