In the image on the left, you can see the recess for the mounting plate in an Incra router table. The computer-controlled milled recess has 10 flathead screws that provide a solid steel base for the mounting plate. The mounting plate itself can be conveniently adjusted from above using 10 hex socket screws.
If you are building a router table from MDF and do not want to forgo fine adjustment, we recommend using these screws. They are exactly the same size as the screws in the Incra router tables. You will need 10 pieces for this. Pre-drill with a 6.5 mm or 1/4 inch drill bit! The imperial coarse thread cuts its own thread into the MDF plate. Ensure precise vertical alignment of the screws! Required: 5/32 inch hex key!
Tip: The rabbet of the plate opening in the Incra router tables is 14.5 mm x 14.5 mm. If you use these dimensions, you will be on the safe side.
