This pole pruner from the Japanese manufacturer NISHIGAKI cuts branches up to a diameter of 25 mm – according to the manufacturer’s specifications. We recommend 18 mm as the upper limit, beyond which you will need quite a bit of strength. The pruner has a blade length of 60 mm and cuts using the bypass principle, where two cutting blades glide past each other. The comfortable handle can be locked so that the pruner remains securely closed. The 60 cm long pruner can be operated with one hand or both hands. For the 1 m long pruner, two-handed operation is recommended and is comfortable thanks to the rubber grip in the middle of the rod. These pruners are especially recommended where a short pruner no longer suffices and a telescopic pruner is too unwieldy.
