Compact marking gauge with a solid, 9 mm thick stop, hole grid at 1 mm intervals, for drawing lines at distances from 5 to 54 mm parallel to the edge of a workpiece. Ideal for use with, for example, mechanical pencils with leads from 0.5 to 1.0 mm. The tapered shape of the holes provides a self-centering effect, ensuring the marking is exactly where it should be.
Made from aluminum alloy, CNC machined from solid, black anodized, with laser-engraved scale. The slightly matte surface texture allows for a comfortable grip on the gauge. Fingerprints do not adhere. Due to the high contrast of the white markings on a black background, it offers excellent, glare-free readability. The millimeter divisions and labeling in white are not simply printed on but are protected within the laser-created recess. This ensures the tool remains usable without issues for many years.
In addition to the marking holes at fixed 1 mm intervals, the tongue features two scales up to 49 and 54 mm, respectively. This makes it easy to measure or mark intermediate dimensions or to use pencils that do not fit into the marking holes.
The scale on beveled edges ensures that any parallax errors that may arise from a side view are kept as minimal as possible, or nearly completely avoided.
The gauge can also function as a dovetail template or be helpful for marking beyond an edge.
