The rigid version of the Sashigane displays only the 10s and 5s digits, making it even more readable. The tens digits are red on the front and black on the back.
The long leg has a chamfered outside and a slightly hollow ground profile. The short leg features a trapezoidal profile with the narrow C-side on the inside. Both profile designs help prevent freshly drawn scribe lines from smudging when moving the angle.
