These plane irons are a significant improvement over the usual „chrome vanadium” blades that come with planes. Made from high-quality, fine-grained carbon steel, these irons can be sharpened much more easily—and they become sharper too! You will be impressed when you use this iron for the first time! The plane irons offered here are 17% thicker than usual and fit most currently available metal planes (such as jUUMA, STANLEY, RECORD, KUNZ, ANANT). Take the time for some preparations, and your iron plane will perform significantly better. Smooth the sole of the plane and adjust the frog (the movable plane iron support) so that the plane mouth is no larger than absolutely necessary.
