The diamond-like carbon coating, known as „DLC” or „diamond-like-carbon coating,” is a low-friction glide coating with high hardness. The coating is only 1 micron thick and is applied using a low-temperature process, preserving the properties of the indexable inserts. According to the manufacturer, this process increases the service life by up to eight times.
